Community guidelines
Last updated: 2025. These guidelines apply to all members and all content submitted to Her Past Matters.
The purpose of Her Past Matters
Her Past Matters exists to help men make more informed dating decisions by sharing genuine personal experiences. The platform is for dating safety, scam awareness, and honest community discussion — not for targeting, humiliating, or retaliating against anyone.
What you can share
Members can share genuine personal dating experiences — positive or negative, green flags and respectful behavior, red flags and warning signs from your own experience, scam or catfish alerts based on first-hand experience, and corrections or updates to existing information.
All content must be based on your own genuine experience. Speculation, rumors, or second-hand information should be clearly labeled as such.
What you cannot share
The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Threats, harassment, or content designed to intimidate anyone
- Doxxing — private home addresses, precise workplace details, or identifying information
- Revenge content — posted primarily to punish or embarrass someone
- Explicit or intimate images without the consent of the person depicted
- Non-consensual sexual content of any kind
- Unverified criminal accusations presented as fact
- Hate speech, racism, sexism, or discrimination of any kind
- Coordinated attacks or encouraging others to target someone
- Impersonation of any individual or organization
- Blackmail, extortion, or coercion
- Information about or identifying minors (under 18)
- Content encouraging users to confront, contact, or approach anyone discussed
Accuracy and honesty
Share only what you personally experienced. Avoid presenting speculation as fact, exaggerating your experience, making unverified criminal accusations, or using the platform to settle personal scores.
Label your content honestly. If something is your opinion or impression rather than a verifiable fact, say so.
How moderation works
Our moderation team reviews all reported content. We do not auto-remove content on request — all disputes receive a fair review. Content may be removed if it violates these guidelines or contains prohibited personal information.
Both platform members and people discussed on Her Past Matters can report content, file disputes, and appeal moderation decisions.
